Lab Reports

Every batch, independently verified.

Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analysis is the gold standard for essential oil quality testing. It identifies every constituent compound in a given sample — down to fractions of a percent — and allows us to verify purity, potency, and the absence of adulterants or synthetic additives.

We test every batch before it is bottled. Not annually. Not per product line. Every batch.

What the reports show

A GC/MS report for a single essential oil can list 50 to 200 individual compounds. For lavender, you would expect to see linalool and linalyl acetate as the primary constituents, alongside a supporting cast of terpenes and esters that vary by altitude, harvest date, and distillation method. These variations are not imperfections — they are the fingerprint of origin.

Our reports confirm:

  • Primary constituent percentages (what the oil is predominantly made of)
  • Absence of synthetic markers or extenders
  • Batch-specific traceability (farm, harvest date, distillation date)
  • Compliance with AFNOR/ISO standards where applicable

Request a report

Full GC/MS reports are available for every oil currently in our range. To request a report for a specific batch, email us at lab@domainebotanique.com with your order number or the batch code printed on the base of your bottle.

We believe transparency is not a feature — it is a baseline.
